 Located near Dunolly, Victoria. (approx 174 kilometers NW of Melbourne). There is a population of approx 740 people in the center of the Victorian Gold Fields and the heart of wheat belt. It is a beautiful area and recommended to any overseas traveller to pay the area of Dunolly a visit, and I am sure Allan will welcome a visit. |
Allan is currently under taking a major project to have the best AMP in Australia so he can talk on 160 meters to any location on the globe. The AMP is a pair of 4CX1000A's in class AB1 with Pi/L output, fully protected Screen supply es a Constant Voltage Heater supply. Input drive of <5w gives output of 400w. HT is 3Kv es max plate current is 1.8 amps.
 
It does not look pretty on the outside, but it is what is on the inside that counts, and this is one powerful amp that has taken some time to get to this stage.
